liquid ice

I use it on my horses when they have done a ODE.
Found it far easier to use than clays which i find just heat up the legs.

Horse bashed his leg hard last year and it stayed down after using liquid ice.

I use ice boots from america-cost £60. Just attach around legs-does from the hoof right to the knee. THey stay frozen quite well in my mini fridge on the truck.

He did limited events last year, 6 I think. Mind you I also used it a fair few times plus a friend used it on his SJing horses too. I still have 1/2 a bottle left so yep it lasts well.
The banadge if clean i would just roll them back up and pop them back in, however, if they got grubby they were fine in the washing machine - my mum is a bit of a clean addict and would regularly whip them off the horse and bung um in the machine and they are still like new

Yep, I have used it, good for humans too!! Still have a bottle left in my medical box. Gets cold and stays cold... ideal for sprains, strains and cooling legs.

I use Koolpak, they are great. You don't need a fridge you just carry them in your first Aid box. When you need them you break a file in the bag & give it a shake and they are instantly ice cold. They are great for bringing down swelling. You only use them once but at about 60p each they are worth every penny. Just vetrap them to the leg.

Just a note of caution I put bandages back in bag after using and re-seal and then horse had long term injury so didn't need to use for a long time. To my surprise next time I looked in bag and they had gone rotten in bag

. So i now use old thin towel cut to leg size and use stable bandages over top to hold towel in place and works IMO better than their bandages
But good product IMO defo works of cooling legs down
