I’m another who adds buckets of hot water to take the chill off their stable trugs. I have one prone to winter colic so I like to make sure he drinks plenty and touch wood this year he hasn’t had it. He does however have a cough at the moment so all his hay is being soaked in hot water to make it less dusty as he seems to prefer it to cold soaked hay so I’m fairly happy he is getting enough liquid.
