Listen to Jeremy Vine on radio 2

Will do - I listen to that show every day, it's good!

Really?? I can't stand Jeremy Vile, it's like listening to people reading out the Daily Mail, all hate and intolerance! He makes issues out of things that aren't issues, tries to goad his interviewees into snapping and arguing, and seems to only have on callers (from the listening public) with a tendency to more extreme views.

Can't bear the man or his show! I get the same angry feeling listening to his show as I do from reading The Sun or similar paper. All sensationalism and exaggeration.

Chestnut Cob I love you!! Couldn't have put it better myself!! I can't stand that show (or Daily Mail!!) I drive to London once a week, my CD player overheats after 2 hours, and my car radio only gets radio 2 - most of the time I don't mind, but dread it when I have to lsiten to Jeremy Vine!! He loves to wind people up!

Sorry if you're a M fan - like was said - someone has to like them!! xxx

I love JV and have spent many an afternoon shouting at my radio whilst listening to him!!

Does anyone remember Cesar the Geezer, used to be on capital gold i think in the night time, he was always good for a shout up!!!:D

I hate Jeremy Whine and his Guadianista attitude but I listened to this and it was rubbish. It was some councillor bloke in Wales and because here in Wales the WAG has nothing better to do it has taken up the banner of horse poo on the road and how it affects cyclists (so what?) and people in wheel chairs and babies in prams.
If wheel chairs and pushchairs are sharing this road with traffic and horses what sort of a road is it?
Then we had a real whiner of a motor cyclist he was priceless and a woman whining about dog s?^t.
Total no-brainer.

Have to defend Jeremy Vine a little.

His ex wife use to work with my OH. Jeremy was pleasant when i met him.

Horse poo is "lethal" for motorcyclists. Horse riders don't pay road tax. On the one hand.

Impractical to carry a shovel and plastic bag when riding on the roads. On the other.

No, but we're insured which is more than cyclists and some other road users, furthermore riders only normally hack out on road with speed limits of 30 or 40 or less. How fast is a motorcyclist going on these roads not to negotiate not even a pile of droppings if the horse is moving quite briskly forwards?
Even more impractical, dismount and make yourself a sitting target while you pick up the poo which will either dessicate after a couple of cars have passed over it or wash off in the rain.

Most of the roads we hack out on are 60's ie country lanes with national speed limit. However I'm sure cow pats are far slippier & good luck getting the farmer to lift those when they move fields!

It's a road, it's outside, sometimes it will be dirty, deal with it!

I agree with the above entirely. I always turn off Radio 2 when he's on. I hate the way he's ruined Panorama as well! I wont watch that anymore either.

Good maybe it will slow motorbikes down a bit when they are on country lanes!

If you could add some punctuation to that post then I might have a clue what you were actually on about!!

I can assure you that I don't work for a quango or in Government and my political views are most definitely not hypocritical!

Can't believe I missed this. I love JV - I have an unusual (or at least some people think it's strange) crush on him. He's a journalist - it's his job to wind people up and provoke extreme reactions!
