My old set of clippers are gettig tired is it worth having them serviced or replacing them, i do two or three horses a year, and if i do replace will any other make fit the lister blades,thanks

Personally I'd have them serviced. Far cheaper than a new set!

phone listers,they are very helpful.
i had some lister showman(the old ones which were replaceced with the liberty which have a smaller body).i bought the liberty handset only from petsmart and have kept all my blades and leads from before which fit.

I had listers and changed, bought mine from Peasridge who were extremely helpful. The new ones are Premier Dominance and they take Lister blades which was helpful. On closer inspection the Premier ones actually have a Hauptner label on them!
Give Peasridge or Clippersharp a call to get some advice. I only do a couple of horses a year but ended up with a heavy duty set as they were on offer and cost about the same as some of the less powerful ones.

friend has mended them bless him, saved me at least 50 quid, i like myclippers bought 2nd hand 25 years ago so dont owe me much.
