Lister Laser = Pro's - High powered, will clip through anything. Cons - heavy and not easy to hold unless you have big hands! Quite loud.
List Legend = Pro's High powered, easier to hold than the Laser. Cons - Termed as a thoroughbred clipper (must be looked after well! Not as much of a 'work horse' as the laser)
Heiniger Progress = Pro's - Quite, lighter than the Laser. Con's - A bit like marmite. Some people love them others don't like them due to their shape and balance.
Take a look the the Heiniger Xperience as well. It is the mains version of the hugely popular Heiniger Xplorer clipper. Very quite, light to hold and leaves a great finish.

Lister Laser, great workhorse, but big lumpy and loud. Will clip through anything buy you will need arm muscles like The Rock if using regularly.

Legend, Theres a skip in the yard.

Heinigar Progress, light,easy balance and quiet. Virtually identical motor and pcb system to the Lister Star. IE...fine when they are working, but if the motor/pcb goes, aforementioned skip.

Heinigar Xperience probably better, lighter than Laser 2, better feel and balance. Downside is, getting used to tensioning the Heinigar blades. It is not easy like Lister, IE all the way down and one and a half turns back, but once you master it, you have an excellent machine.

Other machine I was quite struck on is the Liscop 4000, this is sold by Liveryman and is the same motor as the Wolseley Kite. The Liscop 4000 is available in two versions ,one that takes Wolseley type A2/A6/A7/A22 blades and one version that takes Heinigar type A102 blades. Dont be put off by not knowing the name Liscop, they have been making clippers for other manufacturers for years. The 4000 is one of their better machines in the last few years and is nice and slim,also not to noisy.It has good balance as well.
