Came across these in my local equine store. Desparatley need new clippers for very hairy cob with lots of feather. They seemed reletivley quiet and lightweight. Any experience of these clippers.

I used my friends and they are much klighter and quieter than my heineger clippers. Pretty good clip too

They are brilliant Clippers!, really light and quiet to use and good value- previously have had Heineger and Hauptner 2000 (which were temperamental to say the least!)

The Star clippers are lightweight and easily cope with fully clipping 2 large horses in one clipping session- the best thing is the blades last for ages with out resharpening- have easily got 4 full clips out of one set of blades.

I used to have the neon, which was the predecessor to the star, and I didn't really like them, they weren't very powerful and got hot quickly. Maybe lister has made some improvements with the star, I don't know.

I hate them!!!:eek: Mine got hot very quickly and gave my boy a real clipping phobia - he's a sensitive-skinned grey though. I sold them on e bay - best thing I ever did!!!

Not used Lister but do have a set of Heiniger Progress. They give a good clip and would definitely recommend. Not too noisy either.

I tried my Lister Star Clippers at the weekend. They were fab, did a full clip, inc feathers, full face and ears. Very pleased, minimal lines, very neat, didnt get too hot either! Yey!
