Litigation Solicitor Equestrian

Unfortunately no I don't. If you are going against a vet just be VERY SURE you have a cast iron case or very very deep pockets. I tried once and was up against the VDS (Veterinary Defence Society). Also vets are very loathed to give evidence against one another. Cost me over £3000 to even get as far as taking council's opiinion.who said my case was 50/50 altho I KNEW I was right. Never go to court because you are looking for justice, and if you cannot afford to loose. If I'd lost the case I would have been looking at over £20,000 in costs, so very begrudgingly decided to "put it down to experience".

Depends on what it is but rarely do you need an "equestrian" solicitor - usually you just need one specialising in commercial, litigation (fraud, commercial, negligence) etc. therefore any good solicitor in the area should be able to help you.

However, here is a list of lawyers registered with the equine lawyers association:

although a lot of lawyers with an interest in equine matters arent registered.

Glad to hear it isn't. My case revolved round a case which would have to have been heard in Southern Ireland if it had got that far, so I had to find a solicitor over there. To be honest I'd try and find the best you can whether they be in North Yorkshire or not. If you have a horse insurance company maybe you could ask them, or alternatively contact The Law Society. I found mine in Southern Ireland by contacting the Sothern Irish Law society. They were very helpful so maybe the English equivilent will be too. Good luck.

I am a Commerical litigator in London but I do defendant work, not Claimant, try Legal 500 online find your area and then look at the firms, teams or induviduals in the area this is based on recomendations so is an OK guide.

or try the law society website- find me a solicitor search same enter which area you are looking for.

I agree with the other poster- equestrian knowledge whilst helpful, you want someone robust, quickly understands the fundamental issues, but can give you a realisitic appraisal of the facts.
