Litter of puppies on the way

First pup was born at 8.55am after i have been up all night with her, she waits till morning typical!!

I am so tired but looks like im in for a long day after a long night.

Lots of coffee me thinks.....

She now has just two boys, been an hour since her last pup, so should be another soon. fingers crossed for a girl!!!

Do you know how many to expect?

Oh good luck. We had nightmares with our bitch, but knew how many to expect.
Be warned though, it seems to be all boys at the moment. Everyone I know has had large litters with only the odd girl thrown in.
We had 8, and 6 of those are boys (and then just to make my week worse we lost the smallest bitch who had been the runt).

I dont know how many to expect as scans are always wrong to not worth doing once you know they are in pup theres no point.

So far we have 4 boys!!
I have orders for 4 boys so these have homes, but i also have orders for upto 7 girls!!! Gonna be lots of dissapointed people.

Fingers crossed for some girls! I think it is just sod's law that whichever you have booked they would produce the opposite. Oh and I used to use a chap who scanned ewes for my bitches ,he was always spot on with numbers, with one she appeared to have finished but he had said there was one more so took her to the vet to be checked, sure enough one big un and she had uterine inertia so needed a caesarian. Was very glad I knew it was on the way because otherwise I would have left her, she was calm and settled feeding the others

Ah how exciting, our Spangle had 10 pups ... 6 boys 4 girlies! typical everyone was after bitches but we did manage to find homes

It's her first litter and she is doing so well im really proud of her.

Well done Lexi, thats a fair sized litter. Now you jsut have to convince the people who wanted bitches that dogs are far better, just get them to come and see thepups, they won;t be able to resist

The average size litter is around 7 i think.

And she better have finished having pups, wasnt expecting this many, i didnt think she was big enough to be carrying even 8!!

I have managed to contact all but one person on the waiting list and so, i have homes for the bitch and 6 dogs, not gonna advertise the others for a few weeks, as i would like to get them past the danger time first.

She is very tired now, as am i lol.
