I just discovered neoprene scuba diving socks!
Suggested as I always wear the lining in my wellies at the heel and therefore squeak every step, I then end up trying to walk a bit weirdly so not to annoy everyone ?
Current wellies are Chemeau’s so quite expensive and still totally waterproof etc. Didn’t really want to replace them, especially knowing I’ll do the same to the new pair.
I got them from Amazon. They not only stop the squeak but are warm and In my (Other) leaky wellies keep my feet totally dry.
I’d say get a bigger size than you think if you want to wear over socks.

Neoprene isn't completely waterproof? Especially if its thin enough to wear in your normal size boot. They would definitely keep your feet warm but they may get a bit sweaty but I don't think it would be cold and sweaty. Which ones did you buy? How think were they in mm? I can see it could be a good solution for cold slightly leaky welly boots

Drysuit socks...OThree and Fourth Element do good ones. I've dived in the UK for years, often in the North Sea and while I've had times where I couldn't move my fingers, my toes stayed toasty in those socks. And not sweaty either.

I got 2mm ones and they fit in my boots easily and more conveniently into my shoes that I drive in, handy!
They may not be totally waterproof I guess, I haven’t tried that out but they certainly kept my socks dry inside my leaky boot. I didn’t stand in water but even so usually get a big wet patch!
I haven’t had sweaty feet so far ?
