I'm not acquainted with the place or the lady, but am surprised a charity can't cover the cost of strangles treatment.

I did just scroll on by the first time, no need to comment, but the second post 6 hrs later was a little much like begging, to me.

Maybe others will donate. I have checked and it does appear to be a bona fide charity.

It is bona fide and they rely on donations, I am a volunteer there and if I'm begging then so be it. They do Fabulous work, this little Shetland needed help and they stepped up to help him.

People may already have charities they regularly support

The charity's post is well written but if I had more money there's others I follow on FB that I'd rather support (a cat one and a rabbit one). I already make a monthly donation to the donkey sanctuary
