Little Cob - Bad News...

Sending lots of xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To you, D1 and LC

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Lots of hugs and hot chocolate with extra marshmallows being sent your way, I feel so sorry for you and your Daughter :( I saw the pictures in the other post, and he looks so gorgeous, and as if he has come a long way!

xxx

I'm so sorry for you, awful news. well done for bothering to take him to find out. If he's on bute, he's liver will get messed up but there's milk thistle you can get from dodson & Horrel that counter acts the effect of bute. Works a treat. I used it for my boy last year when he was on bute, and liver stayed perfect!!!!

Poor little fella, what a shame. At least he has a lovely home with you and your family, and hopefully after a nice long rest things might improve.
Lots of hugs from me and my cat sitting here beside me.

Aw no, i was so much hoping to read a positive update on him. Big hugs to you all. He will have a lovely life though, and is lucky to have friends like you who will make sure he is happy and comfortable and loved for years to come. And who knows, several months of rest have been known to cure all sorts of problems, so hopefully this will be something that can come right, or at least better with time.

Why is it always the good ones?- so unfair.

You have given me erm... sounding sappy- words of comfort recently and i really wish there was something i could do or say.

Is there any chance he could improve?
I dont know how old your daughter is but i can certainly vouch for kids resilience and amazing ability to cope and adapt.

Much love to you all xxx

Thank you all :)

D1 is fifteen, so the joyful years where everything is just that bit worse :(

Doesn't help that I'm broken. I can't go back to Newmarket to get him. Back is playing up. Disco is off having new brakes and bits fitted and yesterday the Mercedes went 'Bang!'. I'm thinking of retiring! Ho hum.

*wobbles off to find that bucket of sand to stick head in....*

Aww that sucks, what a shame.
I do know of one or 2 places around here where you could get 24/7/365 turnout, just shout if you want details xx

SO sorry to hear your news about the Little Cob, lifes so unfair :(

fingers and toes crossed for a small miracle that will come with time

Many ((((hugs))) to you and your daughter, really sorry to hear this, hope he gets home safely you find somewhere nice for him to rest etc, in the meantime I hope she enjoys and has a lot of fun with the Dizzy one.

Oh Lord.... Have just caught up..... I am sorry to hear that it hasn't gone the way we all hoped. You never know though, Dr Green may well help.

Fingers crossed that you can find a suitable field.

Lots more hot choccy and marshmallows coming from this direction to

And Here... since you shouldn't be lifting heavy things *passes bucket of sand* we don't want any more damage to you either.

hugs to all

Oh dear what a shame. :(

Just a thought and probably a very long shot, but I wonder if trying the epsm diet might be helpful for him? Just the fact that he's tied up in the past and has lameness issues would make me think that it may be worth a try, although of course it won't affect the sacroiliac issues but I wonder if the neurological issues are connected?

Oh dear Mrs M, so sorry to read this, thoughts and good wishes with you all, hope you find some lovely grass livery for him but what a sad discovery, really feel for you xx

Thank you :)

We've found a field :D. Basic, but there's shelter (trees and hedgerow), water, and it looks safe and secure :)

Will be taking our gang there over the next few days, including Little Lad :)

*thanks kindly for the bucket *

Oh blast, you surely don't deserve that! I'd echo the milk thistle alongside bute, (its also good if you've had too much alcohol, helps the liver to regenerate itself) I digress....loads of hugs to you all and lucky Little Cob to have such a fantastic family to share his life with...xxx

Hi MrsM....just seen this. So sorry about LC:(.....but good news about the field. Hope he picks up soon....as long as he is comfy thats the main thing, and I know you will make sure of that. He has a good mum.

((((((((((Big hugs all round))))))))

PS no hot chocolate available...I am currently on Crabbies alcoholic ginger beer...fancy one? Think we deserve a couple;)

Thank you all :)

Uh oh, she's wobbling again...

Thank you all for your thoughts, hugs and hot chocolates (;)) I'm crying again now. :3

At least Little Lad is coming home, and Jig CAN'T go anywhere now. Good side and bad side. Always is a good and a bad...

He comes home tomorrow :D can't wait to tell him off for confusing the poor vets. And give him a polo. Or two. Or three...

I will also pass on everybody's hugs.

Thank you again. :) :) :)
