Just seen this mrsM I'm so sorry poor Little Cob but atleast he has you and D1 tolook after him.

He comes home tomorrow :D can't wait to tell him off for confusing the poor vets. And give him a polo. Or two. Or three...

Ah, D1 is on here :). She hops on and off like a slightly (only slightly lol) demented yo-yo.

She's gone with her Dad to get LC. I'm sulking because I have to stay home and work. Pah. Back not up to a long car journey today either. Double Pah.

On a serious note :D, we do very much appreciate all your thoughts and good wishes, means a lot :D. I'm attempting to answer all replies with suggestions, inbetween doing the aforementioned work lol :D

Has the vet discussed any options for trying to recover the SI problem? My boy has very successfully recovered from this and is now bute free.
He's a lucky lad, he's got you and D1 to look after him whatever his future holds. xxx

V - no, nothing doing on the Sacroilliac Joint issue :(. The neurological issue to clouding everything :(. If Sue had been able to find the 'pressure point' in his spine that she suspects is there, then we could have tried to do something about that, then maybe given the SI joint some attention. I'm waiting for the report before I have an in-depth conversation with our vet.

We've got a field now, so he will be out and moving :). Just our horses in there, which is good as it just struck me he now can't really run with the herd, which was one of his joys, so whilst he might be a bit miserable without the big gang, as least he won't be left behind. Friend is moving to another field, so the herd was going to change anyway; at least this way he won't be caught up in the mix as they all try and sort out the hierarchy when two of the dominant horses leave.
 
Hi MrsM I have only just caught up with this sorry can I just say I know how your Daughter feels. I never forget how I felt when I was told Gully would have to be a field ornament. I have just been invited by the girl who has him as a Companion horse to go up and pootle out with her as he is pootle sound. I have never been so excited in my life its probably 2 and a half years since I actually sat on him.

To be honest I would be happy sat on his back and knitting socks.

D1 is working on being okay, but it's got to her poor lass. We're moving all three to a field. Not ideal for the Dizz, but it'll be okay.

Will have to get head round D1 being horseless, etc. I know she can ride the Dizz and will, but as she keeps saying, Dizz is mine and we do have a bond, even when I can't get to see her all week, she looks and acts differently with me to how she does with others. It's like D1 and Little Cob - they definately belong to each other :).

Can't have LC running in a herd with others now. He likes to be the boss, or at least second in command, and he won't be able to do that. It's heartbreaking to see them all running and LC trying to keep up by staying in the middle of the circle (less distance to go and lower speed). He'll be safe with Dizz and LL as neither of them will compete with him for supremacy.

Ah well. At least D1 can still see him everyday.
