Went back to vets last week to let him see how he was doing after the plate was removed. He (Dexter) was his usual laid back, good natured self....not. In fact he got so wound up he snapped at me so we did the consult in the car park!!
Anyway, although he still doesn't really stand on it properly we both think he is using it better. Vet thinks it may be a long slow process but he doesn't need any further treatment, phew, and has been given the all clear to chase rabbits again. So all is good in Dexter land.

I have thought about hydrotherapy MM but he gets so stressed am in two minds about the benefits for his leg and the downside for his mentality!! Have decided to give him 3 months hooning about and take it from there. He isn't actually lame and has no real stiffness. I think we just got a demicky dog!! His sister (also in the "squirrel" picture is perfect physically but definiitely has a few screws missing!!
