My little pocket rocket labrador has put me through the wringer on the whole training process, I have asked for advice on here a few times.
She is nearly two now and picking up like a superstar. I never normally see the keeper when I am picking up but yesterday on the duck drive he watched her work and afterwards said 'They were two cracking retrieves'. High praise indeed from a very hard to please man! One was a pricked duck from the water and another one was a blind retrieve a really long way across a field and into deep cover.
I love my dog. :-)

Have you considered novice trialling? Perhaps you should! :wink3: Pups out of well bred, 'trainable' and successful bitches are the way forward, for all of us! Far too many only campaign dogs because of the financial returns which are mostly denied to bitches.

Alec.

I don't think she is well trained enough for trialling. She thinks for herself - not always a blessing, but usually as I am hopeless at marking. I blame my age.
She is also spayed!
Her sire is a FTW, her dam just a picking up dog. Her breeder does FT her other bitches but I suspect T's mum was never good enough, she too is fast and a bit hard headed. Not that breeder would ever admit that!
