NOoooooooo!!! Jumping bareback sounds PETRIFYING!!!!
She leant to canter standing up last weekend (not good at it yet) and wants a go at cantering without stirrups soon (all with saddle of course!!).
She's no excuse about the poor downward transition, as it's in the middle of the test - not at the end! She's just not preparing early enough! I think she's rushing through it a little - need to get her to slow it all down.
And you! Get practicing missy!!
Thanks for the lovely comments.....will try pluck up the courage for the video!!!![]()
HA thats why I dont have any pics as mum has never been brave enough to watch.
Sounds like she is doing loads of interesting stuff in her lessons. She can practice in walk when hacking as it will srengthen her muscles and make it easier for her to hold that positon, have a little challenge to see how long she can do it for with out holding or sitting down. Cantering with out stirups is acutualy easier than trot as it is snmoother its just getting there and back.
Ah well it may be the same thing just in the middle it happens quite a lot you are concentrting on where you are going so much. I cant comment on speedy dressage as that was in my comments box last time. As for the bit I would ask the rs if they have a hanging cheek you can borrow to try or a kimble wick for non dressagey stuff as they are both a step down from the pellham but up from a plain snaffle but keep the pellham for jumping.
Promises rm I will practiceI almost know where I'm going.
Go on post the vid we all want to see it. We are a nice bunch really and it sounds like she did fab!
You've just got to love ponies........ she looks lovely and most of all happy![]()
