Little Downham - Good intro for youngster?

I am trying to decide where to take J for his first event, was origionally planning on GtW in July but think he might be ready before then, and I am impatient! lol

I have never been to Little Downham so would like your thoughts on it please

Especially what the water is like?

I think Little Downham is a lovely course. If you are not sure why not hire the course and have a play before hand. If you want a lead i need to go there in the next month or so i would be more than happy to meet you there. PM if you like.

Oooo.....that would be good, if you didnt mind. he doesnt really need a lead, but would be more fun in company

I have been there once and liked the course although I have not jumped the intro fences, Pics on the web are good.

Had a look at them, the intro fences look tiny! I suppose its because i have been schooling over PN and N fences, but think it is wise to start him at Intro

I would say if you did want to start of doing a PN Lt Downham is a good place to start.

My trainer said to start at PN, but I am still undecided

Well If we go in March i can show you some of the fences on the PN course, you could make up your mind then.
