Long I'm afraid but Rosie did have 3 horses there and we had a bit of a drama.

By the time I arrived, the sun was shining and having already done DR (35.2 - very pleased with that) and SJ (clear - thrilled with that) on Delta, Rosie was getting ready to go XC. Ecstatic when she went clear as it meant her first BE point. Owners were over the moon when we let them know she had finished in 2nd as they want to sell her and now she has 5 shiny points.

Next, Bertie's DR. Misread his time and tacked up earlier than necessary so he stood on the lorry for a while with the other 2. Tremendous racket suddenly, cue us leaping out, hearts in mouth, to see what's going on. We don't know for sure but it seems Delta must have caught her head collar under the pin of the partition and somehow lifted it off it's hinges. It fell on to Lottie, who leapt sideways into the next partition which freaked Bertie. He broke free and shot down the ramp. Miraculously, no damage to horses or even tack and a huge thank you to the lovely lady who came and helped us put the partition back together.

So, Bertie's DR - they have just changed his bit which has stopped him overbending but his transitions aren't quite as good, so very interested to see how he went. Mostly pretty good, especially extended trot, and a score of 33.5.
Lottie's Dr - she was being a real idiot warming up, leaping about and whinnying to the horses on the XC course, so we weren't surprised when she got 40.4.

Bertie SJd first and had one down but they were pleased as he did nothing wrong. Rosie's trainer has told her she must sit up more when she's going over the jumps as she was getting in front of the horse instead of simply using her uncanny ability to see a stride (think that's right - she'll slaughter me if I've got it wrong) and then she would be an even better SJer. Anyway, it's working!
Lottie also had one down - not sure why but she was in a funny mood and v excited by horses galloping past the top of the ring on the XC course.

Next, the best bit of all, Lottie's XC. Very sticky into the first water and cautious at some of the other jumps but she finished clear with 14.4 time. Last time she did an intermediate she was eliminated so she got loads of pats and cuddles and we were all

.

Bertie did his usual impeccable XC round - very brief clip of him going through the water in grand style + the next two jumps - and finished clear with 2.4 time.

Sat around in the last of the sunshine waiting for results, sipping lattes and met up with Baydale. She was very puzzled by Hector's dressage score I think.

Bertie finished up in 3rd place and Lottie in 9th, so rosettes and a cheque and very happy but tired people.
Thanks for reading if you have

She was so pleased with Lottie's XC as she blamed herself for the E at Tweseldown (pushed her too hard she thought).
As for Bertie, she reckons he's such a good boy that he makes her forget how to ride 'average' horses XC. I watched about 10 horses do that water combo before they came through and he made it look very easy in comparison with the majority.

Thank you H.
Thistle, OMG was she still yelling her head off even then! Daft mare but it is funny somehow isn't. Apparently, at one event they went to this year she neighed through her whole test and at the end the judge stuck her head out of the car and said (tongue in cheek) 'remind me to get some ear plugs for next time we 3 meet'
