Alf did a pee on my bed the other day - had to go and buy a new duvet, he's just been stood outside for 10 minutes, came back in and did another big wee ON MY BED!!!

GRRRR!!! Not sure what to do about it??? any idea's?? He sleeps in our room, sometimes on the bed sometimes on his bed... Should he be sleeping somewhere else??

Its not uncommon for a dog to pish on the bed when unsupervised....mine have done it plenty
crazy.gif
make sure he is crated and dont give him access to your room...assume thats where they both sleep...unless u are there....so u can keep an eye on his antics and reprimand at the time he does it

Is that a polite way of saying "I told you so!"

He's just bloomin larger than life at the moment, there is a HUGE greyhound that goes in the park we go in, he has to be on the lead when any other little dog comes in because he tries to eat them, but not with Alfie - he chases the greyhound around!

He is nuts!!

Dan was v angry half an hour ago but now Alf is sat on his lap.

Seems that cute little face gets him away with a lot!
grin.gif

Your too soft...I would banish him from the bedroom and place his crate in the kitchen....and he would not be sitting on my bloody lap if he just pished in my bed...he would find it hard to sit on his own ar*se

grin.gif

Seriously though....I would restrict his access....he needs to get used to a consistant routine....a one that does not involve sleeping in or on the bed or room......but I know u wont
tongue.gif

Thing is, Star has got used to her routine, and I don't want her to suffer just because of Alf can't behave himself - neither do I want to split them up?? What do you think??

(Star would FREEZE and cry if we created her in the kitchen at any time)
crazy.gif

Dont change stars routine....if u desperatley want to keep them together...just make sure ALF is in the crate at all times..not on the bed or on the floor....in the crate and supervise his walk from the garden to the crate so he does not get distracted and start pishing on the way
crazy.gif

There are many reasons that they can pish on the bed...inc excitement, disrupted routine, breed types...some breeds are more prone to have difficulties in getting into as routine in regard to toilet training, dominance, marking teritory, submission, medical, age.....or just pure naughtiness

lol

I think with ALF u need to be consistent and keep a short rain for now....dont allow him on the bed or in the room unsupervised.

Thanks Cala, I don't think it is anything to do with him actually needing the loo, he literally went strait from outside up to the bed and did a wee!
tongue.gif
I reckon he just thinks he can do what he wants - but then look really cute and get away with it!!
smirk.gif
Don't worry, he gets a telling off and a smacked botty!

I feel a bit mean but i'm sure you'll understand - because you know what he's like!! He's so lovely and I think he is fab, but he is, indeed a little sh*t!

well said cala lol

my dogs have been very naughty this week, they have both piddled and sh*t in their bed, they get let out for as long as they like before they go bed and aint done it before so confused why now nothing has changed in their routine, however the collie had bad sh*ts couple weeks bk and couldnt hold himself which i didnt tell him off for as he couldnt help it so do you think this may have caused it as this is wat im thinking, but they do not get away with just being dirty dogs they get a good telling off with no fuss for a couple hours just to let them no i still have my horns
tongue.gif
out lol
