We bought a young connie x 4 months ago for daughter to replace the young eventing pony that colicked....young pony was a bargain basement project who came over from Ireland looking like this...

This photo was taken a couple of days after she landed and is no reflection on the person we bought her from! Having delved into her background it seems she had been sold on at least 5 times in 5 years, was covered by her brother aged 2, had the foal though I've no idea what happened to it, been through the sales and when we found her didn't know where she was or who she was. Nicely bred, though.

Four months on and she has her first dressage outing just doing intros A and B, with no greater intention than to get her out and show her an arena.

She was a little star, perfectly behaved, didn't look at the boards, wowed the judge, won the A and came third in the B. Was very proud of her and daughter who just schooled her round and gave her a good time. She's still very green and unestablished in trot, has a long way to go but couldn't have handled her first outing better.
