Little Jupi update with piccies

Hi all

As i managed to actually see my pony in the daylight today i thought i would give you all a little update on how hes getting along and what ive been doing as lots of people keep asking for pictures of him

For those that dont know hes just 18months old and i bred him myself from my dressage mare and hes by Johnson (Jazz x Flemmingh). We measured him with a stick for the first time today and hes just short of 15'2

The pictures are a bit crap as he was standing with his bum up on the shavings and his front legs on the rubber matting so makes him look croup high - which he isnt!

And an update on me, ive started riding again, just my YMs horse who is lovely and by Dutch Gold. Only riding once a week as thats all ive got time for but did take him out competing a couple of weekends ago and won the elementary with 68.9% so was very pleased with that considering ive only ridden about 8 times since April and had only ridden the horse 5 times before the competition.

Hope ive not bored everyone too much!!

Thank you - he is still entire at the moment but purely because he only has one!!!!

We are waiting til spring to see if the other drops and if not he has to go to the vets to be totally knocked out and its going to cost 1.5k

Im praying the other one drops soon!!!

Archie was sold in April as i couldnt afford to keep him anymore so one of them had to go, as Bloss is on loan and Jup costs hardly anything it had to be Archie. I needed a break from him anyways to be honest so i made the right decision even though it was a hard one. Cant wait to get out on Jupi now though as ive had a taste of competing again on my YMs horse - long way away yet!!

The girl who has her is a groom on the yard so i get to see her all the time and i take them both out competing in my lorry. She adores her so its a perfect situation.

Ideally i would like him to get to at least 17'1, i should think he will. Hes going to be a big build like his mummy aswell which will be perfect for me

I do miss riding but at the moment i dont have time to ride everyday so its ideal that i can ride my YMs horse once a week and compete him when i have the funds. Im hoping to take him out and do a BD Medium on a ticket with him in Jan or Feb. Hes lovely, got loads and loads of potential but only gets properly schooled by me and the YM once a week if she gets time. The rest of the time hes used for vaulting which involves cantering on one rein on the lunge for 45mins twice a week so you can imagine how good that is for him!! lol

hes huge especially as hes built like Bloss

Hes seriously strong already, so im having to let him know whos boss when i take him out for walks etc otherwise he'l just start dragging me around the place. Especially as hes still entire i need to keep on top of things as the last thing i want is an unruley colt!

At the moment he has to stay entire as unfortunately ive just forked out nearly 4000 on getting my car and horsebox fixed (both broke down at the same time, not good

). He will hopefully be gelded in the spring as fingers crossed his other one will have dropped by then. if not il have to wait until next year around November time, get him checked again and if not he'l go in for the operation then.

oo.... bu**er vehicles do have a way of doing this to you!, i'm sure you're a match for jupi

, but having his balls removed does put odds on your side even more.....

- but he was cheeky chap when i saw him, BUT so likable. You're going to have a ball with him as he does have that x factor about him.... IMHO
