Hubby has had enough and says i have to sell him - so i'm trying to loan him as a compromise instead. i've beaten about the bush and faffed around as much as possible, but now i have no choice, he has to go

the question is, where? where do i advertise a 13hh (high withered so more like 12hh) little g1t?

daughter has been riding him every day and he's going well, even jumped the other day (only twelve inches, but he was happy enough). Can't put him out as a jumping pony though. he's good to hack out alone or in company (pratically bombproof). he's fine on a lead rein.

i know i can put him on our website, but that's a couple of weeks off being finished.

blah. thought i would manage to keep hold of him for a while longer, 'till the end of the year when we should hopefully have our own land (and could then tuck him away in a quiet corner and hope D wouldn't notice).

Oh poor you!

Could you advertise him as a lead-rein? I know it's not ideal but someone could be looking for a stop-gap pony until their child is bigger and off-lead?

You could send him to me......I'm only 12 stone!

. he hasn't shown an urge to damage small creatures, unless they're between him and his food

Mrs M I'd love him, but, unfortunately, I have seventeen stone of bulking muscle looking very menacingly in my direction, with words that sound like " If you *&%%$ well get another ££$$46^^^*** horse..I'm &8&&^(££ going to $$**&, can't repeat the rest!!!

Personally I think he's starting to talk like Norman Collier!!!

I will keep my ears to the ground and ask any unsuspecting pony mad kids, who live very near me if they need a pony on loan!!!

Or you can do what I sort of did with my puppies, remember it's not your fault if nobody wants your little darling pony, is it?

A while after I had decided which one of the bitch puppies I wanted to keep and the male puppy was sold, I got a feeling my mother was quite reluctant about me selling the other bitch puppy but not quite ready to say the word yet. So after a little this and that I ended up putting in a new advert in a morning paper but I can now admit that I worded it in such a way that, well hm, to be honest I probably made it sound like she (about 10 to 11 weeks old) needed a very experienced owner with lots of time to spend on her...

Nobody phoned on that advert and the next week my mother said she wanted her.

(And if anybody wonders, No she never needed a very experienced owner.)

oh dear, im sorry C, (((hugs))) hope you find him a nice home! I think you should kidnap montyandzoom, think they would make a lovely team!!

thank you BER, is appreciated, but I want to keep ownership of him. I hope some day, unless the loaner is the most splendid and excellent person who loves him and looks after him just as he needs, to get him back. When there is less of me I can ride him - and at the rate Dizzy and I mis-match when we're both fit and well it would be good to have an option lol.

C - lol, can't have any more - think D would leave me and I need him (give me a moment and I'll remember why..., oh yes, he's willing to learn how to lunge the Dizzy one

).
