Just passing through...
Daughter has been riding LL, roughly five times a week. He's in for a day and a night, and out for a day and a night. He gets no feed - just good grazing, and hay when he's in.
Daughter rode this morning and he was a g!t. Wouldn't let her get on, then napping, then had an impressive bucking fit. Daughter stayed on and was only mildly concerned.
The thing is, he used to test each rider each time they rode. As daughter rode more often he stopped testing her; now he's testing her every ride and the effort he's putting in is getting more impressive.
I'm wondering if she's starting to get too big for him. He's 13hh to the wither, but only 12hh to his back; she's about 5'6", built like a stick insect.
The trouble is, I have no-one else to ride him
There's a young lad that might be interested, but he'd have to be on a lead rein (LL is fine on lead rein) - he likes looking after ponies, so it might work. I'd told his mum what LL can be like, which is a good job because they witnessed this morning's session.
Any ideas as to why LL is getting more rumbunctuous?!
