I posted in here several months ago asking opinions on the best breed for our family. I had been thinking about Norfolk or Norwich. Thanks to some lovely ladies on this forum we eventually decided we needed a little Lancashire Heeler in our lives. We have been introduced to, and advised by, lots of very helpful 'heeler' people and finally picked up our puppy yesterday.

We told junior we were going to Scotland to see the wild goats (which we did briefly).

Although he knew we were getting Max he didn't realise it was going to be yesterday. His wee face was a picture when we drove round the side of a house to see a couple of LH's in the garden. He was given Max to hold but didn't realise we were able to take him home yesterday. When he finally realised Max was coming home with us the look on his face was priceless.

Meet Max. My son is completely besotted, as are we all. He is the most wonderful little chap (although the cats would disagree).

(hopefully a little video of when we got him home last night)

What a lovely, well planned surprise for your son-I bet he was thrilled! Max is a handsome little live wire,by the looks of it! Love it when he looks up at the chair, 'Hmmm...I need to get up there but how? These legs are too little...I must hatch a plan..!' He certainly looks smart (and that green toy is being shown no mercy!) Congrats:)

Someone has a HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE personality! what a lovely little pup! Hope you have tonnes of fun & many happy years together..your son must be in blissful shock! I remember a similar story with my first Guinea Pig Cuddles..my Mum & I got her home & then suddenly Mum had to pop out again..she came back with Spikey! My two lovely long haired piggies, I had secretly known she might have, but was only 7 or 8 so thought it would never happen...she cycled back with the box in the basket & there she was..I was over the moon for ages, I know JUST how your son must have felt..best feeling in the world!:)

He is trying desperately to get up on things. Jumping on all fours like a spring lamb - not quite effective bless him. He is currently 'killing' a rope toy. Sorry about the video Adopter, I'm not great on photo bucket.

He is adorable isnt he?, the video isnt working on here but have seen it on fb where he has lots of fans. Im so pleased you bought him and got to meet Joy as well. He may be only small but he will be a big dog in a little body, ours is the boss with the Dobes. This was her when she first came home and she was never any bother, easily house and crate trained thanks to Caylas puppy guide. http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=474851&highlight=lancashire+heeler+puppy

Dobiegirl, your little girl looked innocent as snow in those pics;) Love the rat toy-never seen one of those before! Is it a dog toy or a human toy?!

Ungrateful little beggars, aren't they? Our GSP absolutely *loves* those duck/pheasant/partridge dog toys but has murdered 3 or 4 now! It seems you can love something too much...they paid the ultimate price for their irresistableness:D

Dobiegirl she is beautiful. We had an amazing day. Joys Ava is a peach and we were met by Caeseur smiles and a lovely wriggly Nell. 7 adult heelers and footballs were lovely to watch.

Both the Dobes were rescues so Im convinced they never had toys as pups:( so they have revisited their puppyhood with Pip and shared her toys. Their favourites are crushed plastic water bottles which are easy to replace.:)

Seeing the photos of Max has made my daughter and I broody but realistically 3 dogs is enough as we often have friends dogs to stay, am having a Springer staying Weds. with a 12week Springer puppy so will be getting my puppy fix then.:)

Ava is beautiful and I have admired her since she was born, she was a sole pup and Roberts pride and Joy. Is Caeseur and Nell Maxs parents? and I love his pedigree name. Your little boy must have been in heaven meeting all those Heelers:)

I saw the pics on Heeler fb page, didn't realise it was someone from here. So glad you went with a heeler, we got our first as a surprise for my daughter when she was 3 :)

Dobiegirl. No Roberts Lucey is mum. She was still in the car when we arrived. She is an absolute wee star. We met Nikki as well and a pup of Nell and Caeseurs. Met loads of Maxs relatives.

MM. He is perfect. It's hard to get anything done, he's more fun than the housework. Joshua face was priceless when he realised we were taking Max home, he thought we had another few weeks to wait before we got him.

Must have been wonderful seeing all the Heelers together, you kept very quiet about having one of Roberts pups and you must have loved all the updates of the latest photos.

Ohhh!!! lovely lancashire heelers. My best friends little bitch has just had pups - 2 weeks ago. The little girl is already spoken for but if any one wants to buy a little boy then please pm me for contact details....I darent look too closely as I may also " fall under the spell " :D

It was lovely. They were all running around playing football together. I couldn't let myself believe he would really be ours until we actually had him. I have all his baby pictures saved. I also wanted to make sure Robert was 100% happy for us to have him.
