Ive found a really nice little lorry for sale and just wondered what we all think of it.
I was gonna post the link, but the person who's got it for sale might be on here and I dont know if they would like that.
AnyWho, its a 5.5 ton coach build dodge. forward facing, carries 2x 16.2hh. All seems in good order. Doesnt say the ages though and its up for £3250 with 6 months tax and 12 months test od £2750 without tax and test.
So, how does it sound my little HHO buddies?

No, I no nothing about the box. But these are the main things to look for on any horse transport, Have you been to see it?? if you like it then you buy it.

Ive not been to look yet. Im abit wary of getting an old box, coz Ive currently got an Ifor trailer and 4x4, both of which I bought from new a couple of years ago, but fancy a little lorry now and a little car! But I cant helpt thinking I should stick to wot Ive got as I knw both a reliable and a good age.

hummm, I no what you mean, Have you also looked on e-bay, or even H & H, I think if you buy a little lorry try to spend that little bit more for it and get some thing descent. But i do no, that there are some nice and cheep one's out there, it's just finding one... keep us posted

I've got a 6.6t Dodge - so the size bigger than yours, 21 YO, I've had it 10 years and it is fabulous. I love my lorry probably more than my horse.

Dodges do rust quite badly in the cab and they are so noisy to drive, its hard to hear the radio! They have a bonnet and an engine cover in the cab - which is what makes it noisy.

Very economical to drive and they refuse to die. If anything does go wrong Massey Fergusson tractor parts fit them so they are easy to get hold off.

Mine is still valued a £4k, so yours is probably quite cheap.

Hi,Sounds ok but my advice would be to get it checked by an expert before you part with any money,we went to look at a fab lorry it was just the job or so we thought, the chap who we paid to check it over found some very expensive and very dangerous faults,so we walked away gutted but glad, sorry bit doom and gloom but better safe than sorry, got a gud one eventually!

get it checked before buying it particularly the floor, ramp and chassis.

We have a 23 year old mercedes and it just keeps going and going. Its still got its original engine and happily cruises at 50mph and never ever lets us down some times the old ones can be good ones but do please get it checked.
