Little Lottie is settling in really really well. She traveled really well on Thursday and settled straight into her stable. She was a little but looky in the main on Friday but was fine as long as you were with her to give her confidence. Much more settled today. YO and all the liveries are just lovely. I'm very lucky with the yard!!
I lunged her this morning just in a head collar and she gets walk trot and canter on both reins. She's nice and forward without being whizzy or silly and is obedient to the voice, which is a bonus.
She currently out in a little fenced off paddock within the field she'll be in with two little unshod ponies and settles well ATM. We'll give them a week and then pop them in together I think. There's lots of grass so she's just been out for a few hours each day to get used to it, as she was in quite a bit before. When I went to catch her she nickered and trotted up to me just now which was sweet.
I've bought a 6'0" stable rug second hand which fits her well (loooong pony) but the 5'9" turnout is a little snug, but will do for now.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow at yhl and have decided to buy the things I need, decent quality so that they last and I'll use done of my inheritance on it.
I hope my grandma is happy up there watching me with Lottie (in the sky according to my daughter). It's such a shame I had to loose her in order to get Lottie she'd have loved to meet her.
A few photos. Sorry about the quality.
