Little Miracles?

was just wondering if people would share their stories about any little miracles theyve had with their horses? like things they survived or pulled through could do with some cheering up, and theres nothing like a feel good story about horses!

Betty was diagnosed with a lung tumour and vet was suggesting PTS there and then (weird as she had no symptoms other than a cough and certainly no pain, so quality of life was very good). We insisted on a specialist second opinion...it's wasn't a lung tumour just an enlarged heart from heart disease. Six years on, a fortune in medication but the dog is fine!

Dizzy was lame on a front leg despite antibiotics and treatment. Vet x-rayed and said it was bone cancer, we would have to amputate just to give him a few more decent months of life...specialist second opinion, nah it's an infection not bone cancer! Eight weeks of antibiotics later all cleared up.

Moral of the story: always double check with a specialist vet!
