Hi there, one of the folks at our yard has an amazing little thing for poo picking. She doesn't know where it came from, but it makes light work of poo picking so I'm keen to get my hands on one. I can only describe it as like a little hand shaped rake, it is probably about a foot long, hand held. The prongs are quite springy and the poos just fly into the shovel, great!! Anyone know what I mean and where I could get one? Many thanks in advance

Yes I have one but can't remember for the life of me what website I got it from. Try googling garden hand rake….there is a horse one that comes with a skip but costs double the money!

If I can recall the website I will get back to you x

Yes, wagtail, that's very similar - not the same I don't think, but looks like it will do the job. Love the fact that the shovel bit has a place for the fork to go, that's so annoying with the standard ones. No UK distributors - what a shame - will contact them now and see if I can get one - thank you !!

Found it!! Half the price of the speed skip one…

Thanks L&M - very kind of you. Will find out about the equinespeedskip one first before ordering, I like the idea of it standing up in the shovel bit, always a pain that

Just noticed there is a "shop" on the link - £26.50 for rake and skip - about £10 more than a normal one but if it's anything like the one my friend has it will be money well spent - will have to ask my OH for one for Christmas!!

I am 5'10" and suffer back problems, but I find the speed skip does not hurt my back at all. I have between 5 and 7 horses to do all by myself including completely clearing the fields every day when they are out 24/7. The skip is much bigger and stronger than the standard skip and you sort of lean on the handle as you scrape up the muck. Also it doesn't send my hand into a cramp or give me blisters like the traditional design.

What we do is put the poo bucket bit on the rake prongs so the bucket bit holds the rack upright. Being tall about 5 ft 8 I guess these rakes will be too short for me.

I have these rakes, the Wolfgarten rake is much better than the one sold by Amazon. The tines of the one on Amazon are too flimsy. I'm 5'10 and don't find the rakes too short as I use the poopscoop handle to lean on while flicking the poo into the scoop.

Speed skip is awesome. Big enough to skip out stable where they've been in for the day in one go but not so big breaks your back using it. I semi deep litter my bed and the fork is springy enough to get all little bits of poo. Wouldn't be without mine, best £25 ever spent.
