Little shits letting off fireworks

Caught two kids this morning throwing lit fireworks in my field

Have five horses, four year old didnt know what to do

Caught up with the two boys and they just laughed. Bloody Hell I wanted to linch them!!

Rang police, they just took details......Great!

cant settle now, have got the four year old in with radio on but on tender hooks!!!! Little shits !!

What sort of environment do you live?

If a Parish, contact your Parish Council and ask for their help in explaining the dangers of misuse of fireworks by kids to the parishoners.

If in a surburban place, I would write to the Police asking what action has been taken, why have kids this age got fireworks, who sold them to them (isn't there an age limit?) abd what is their strategy for dealing with this, etc, etc.

After all, if they thing putting fireworks in fields is funny this year, next year they might graduate to putting fireworks through letterboxes, etc.

This sort of low level harrassment is a hot political topic right now so they can't ignore it if you kick up a little bit of a fuss.

If you know who the children are make sure the police have this information, after all they can't do a great deal without knowing who the perpetrators are. It is illegal for under 18's to be in possession of fireworks in a public place. It is illegal to sell fireworks to children. Ring the police back, ask to speak to a superior officer and keep asking what they have done about this. It could also be worth ringing your local councillor to express your concern.

Thanks guys for advice,These kids are only about nine, just laughed in my face, never seen them before. Ran off when I got my phone out to ring the police. Will try and take photos if they do it again but there is probably a law about that and I will be in the wrong!Horses settled after a while, decidied to lung the four year old on the school insted of riding him to play safe. I hate bloody firworks, dont know how kids like that could get hold of them, ok at organised dos but think they should be banned other than that! Rant over

It is illegal to sell fireworks to under 18s and it is illegal for under 18s to let fireworks off in a public place - perhaps the Police need a little reminding . . . . .
