So, this certainly gives you a slightly better idea on how skinny the little man is.
Weight tape says 51kgs, though I have been promised the loan of heavy duty scales, so will have an exact weight by the start of the week.
Excuse the groom, she had just finished work, and I cant record and be groom!

You can see he is very weak still, but every day is bringing a small but noticeable change in him!

poor little mite, he is just so so skinny and you can tell he is weak.. nice to see he's got enough energy to be cheeky though! He is just so lucky to have found you, keep us posted on his progress, i find myself constantly brosing posts looking for stig's name! another vote for him to be HHO mascot!

Can tell from his little face how much he's brightened up already ! Amazing how trusting he is considering what he's been through... Obviously in expert and caring hands with you !

Looking forward to following his progress. I get the feeling that once he gets stronger he's going to be a little ball of mischief

definitely HHO mascot material

bless him, he does have that element already of " I am going to be a little monkey because I am just so damn cute!"

So what are you doing with him? Is he going out to grass? Are you feeding him any hard food? Just being nosy really
Keep em coming!

TwoBays, he cat go out yet until he is backpacker free, and able to cope with grass (will be turned out for an hour and build up his time out).
He gets as much hay as he can eat, though currently he struggles to get through two sections in a 24 hour period.
He has now been allowed to have a small handful of hifi, and over the weeks this will be increased and added to.
We have a little book for him, in which we have to record what he is getting, when he gets it, and his weekly weigh in!

That really looks like its worth a try, even if its only for his skin.
I did wonder if there was anything I could maybe rub into his skin? He loves to be touched and scratched, so he would certainly enjoy it, but what could I use?

Jeez, I see what you mean about his spine, it's like a razor blade.

He looks like a right little monkey though. Betting it won't be long until your are wondering if he is strong enough to be gelded, bless him.

I am so pleased to see an update, thank you Joanne

And I am interested in the details of what you are feeding him, his regime etc.
Yes, definitely the HHO mascot!

J - try some aloe gel - just get it from a health food shop so it is 100% pure no additives, colourings etc. It is really healing and soothing so I'm sure it will help. The aloe juice will help heal and soothe from the inside - makes their coat shine like oil does but if ull of goodies like amino acids and vits and mins as well.

I assume he's got special anti squatters shampoo for when he has a bath, but if he can have something else as well, head and shoulders is great for a scurfy coat. I used to use it on my sweet itch suffering pony onthe vet's advice. Better than anything else on the market and cheaper than most of it as well. Once he's allowed it, some oil (any oil, just sunflower or vegetable will do) in his feed will do it a lot of good as well - and help him put weight on.

Well done, the difference in him is incredible already.

Wow!!! He looks so much better already!! and his personality is starting to shine through too!!

The video really does show how thin doesn't it, however, it is absolutely wonderful to see his character coming through. He is obviously feeling safe and secure enough to be a "bit" cheeky.

Keep the updates comming and I really do look forward to seeing his facebook page

Echo what everyone else has already said Joanne, you've really got your work cut out there haven't you - poor little chap:)

Looking forward to the next update
