Little things you and your horse do..

I've no idea how my old boy learnt that 'one more step!' means 'you're too far away from the mounting block, please come a bit closer'!

Our homebred, recently backed, has already learnt that if she lags behind a little on a hack, 'keep up!' means just that - she'll jog a few steps to catch up with my husband. Saves me constantly using my legs, and I like horses to understand voice commands, after all, we've taught her walk on, trot-trot, and stand, so why not keep up!?

My old boy used to always great me with a nudge and and a rub of the head when he passed on my mare who was his stable/feild mate took it on herself to greet me this way which is rather cute!!
I always give her a hug goodnight and a kiss (well several) and she does her best to look unimpressed!
The geldings I've had old boy and newer boy both have looked out there stables as I'm leaving the yard as in a see you later kinda way!
The mare can be a little extreme if she has an itch and will place which ever bit is itchy as close as she can to you ,this as I found out the other day includes bandaged legs around yours and you are expected to be able to itch the bit in the middle of the bandage!
