I've no idea how my old boy learnt that 'one more step!' means 'you're too far away from the mounting block, please come a bit closer'!
Our homebred, recently backed, has already learnt that if she lags behind a little on a hack, 'keep up!' means just that - she'll jog a few steps to catch up with my husband. Saves me constantly using my legs, and I like horses to understand voice commands, after all, we've taught her walk on, trot-trot, and stand, so why not keep up!?
