Little white "things" in horses poo!!

Just been poo picking and seen some very little white eggs that look like hay seeds in his poo. Def. not hay seeds though because liquid comes out if you pinch them. They are tiny. Like a mm long.

Can't figure out whether they have come from inside him or whether flies have laid them. Any ideas?

If they are only on the outside sounds like fly eggs. Put some in a plastic bag with the poo and see if they hatch in about 24-48 hours...

Are they round? Slug and snail eggs are quite small like 1 or 2mm?

Pretty sure they are flies eggs. I'm seeing a lot at the moment as well.

They'll be dung beetle eggs this time of year I bet - don't panic!
Check poo for the actual beetles to reassure yourself.

Ah - there were little beetlely things in there. Like small black ladybirds.

Have attached photo of eggs. The eggs are in the middle of the poo just below the crack. There is a small cluster of them.

Got slightly concerned as nearly every poo seemed to have them (although I haven't poo picked for 3 days - bad mother)!!

Well defiantly sounds like dung beetle eggs to me!
I had a right panic attack about them last year thinking they were worm eggs or something similar so you're not alone!
