I recently purchased a 6 month old liver chesnut filly foal but as she's so young I havent had the pleasure yet of seeing her coat change colour yet. She's out of a 15hh coloured cob and a 15.3hh appaloosa mare. Funny colour out of those two parents but last years foal out of the same two was black!!!

Have always wanted a liver chesnut and finally I have one. I cant weait to see her grow up, she's a stunner and a bit of a whopper already. Hoping she makes as big as mum, dad apparently throws big foals!

My lovely boy - 11 year old Section D.

Never sure which one I prefer. I love his dapply, light summer coat and then am wowed when this rich, dark coat comes through in the winter. Every year though, he's been a different colour. I love the fact that he keeps me guessing.

Wonderful horses, wonderful pictures. Seeing all those magnificent horses has made me adore this coat color even more. Nothing can beat a shiny liver chestnut :D

I had a Liver Chestnut boy & if you had a fly sheet that reflected the suns rays he would stay liver coloured all summer aswell. It's a lovely colour with a horrid name which is accurate as liver is like that too.

1st1- beautiful horse, very sad he has been soured by his previous owners, but it sounds as though he is getting on with his dressage lifestyle just fine.
This is Bertie- he had a bad crash out hunting, and doesn't really like jumping anymore, it is very sad as he had previously evented upto novice level, but is currently a sidesaddle horse, and getting on well with that. :)

I am very biased towards chestnut horses.

I used to share a loverly chestnut mare and I found that cider vinegar really made her dapples pop.
