Hi all
My 19 yo 13.2 pony has recently lost a lot of weight and started to show neurological symptoms such as pacing, lack of co-ordination of back legs and overall lethargic/depressed. We had blood tests and worm tests done recently with the blood test showing raised liver enzymes and the manure test showing positive for liver fluke. We have now dosed him for liver fluke with Triclabendazole. Just wondering if anyone else has had any similar experiences with these symptoms? Or if anyone knows how long a horse takes to recover from liver fluke after being treated.
Understand that there may be another issue causing the symptoms/ raised liver enzymes but want to eliminate this first.
Any help appreciated! Thanks x
