Liver problems!

I am just looking into liver biopsies on horses and peoples experience who have had them done! My pony has had some liver trouble and the vet has suggested having one done!
Just wondering what the verdict was from other peoples biopsies, what was the treatment and how long did it last for? Also if anyone knows the rough price!
I know that it will be a different scenario and price for everyone depending on the problem!

I had a liver biopsy done a few years ago for my boy who kept getting raised liver enzymes. It showed he had an infection and was given a months worth of antibiotics. Liver biopsies do not always show something, it depends if they take the right sample of tissue whether you’ll get an answer.
Mine cost about £150 and then I paid for the antibiotics on top.
