Liveries, turnout, hay, storage. Had enough!

How peculiar. DIY livery seems to be a misnomer, then, in that part of Kent :confused3:. No wonder there is confusion.

I never realised until I left the area. I'd say most people there would have no concept of what the rest of HHO would call pure DIY. People wouldn't expect to get that involved with anything other than daily care of their horse (stable chores, bringing in,grooming, riding) unless they themselves have rented the yard. The OP may think area doesn't matter but it does. Local people (the OPs target market since she's not offering full livery) will have certain expectations of DIY livery.

OP you may not be running this as a business (though legally you should be since you're taking money for livery) but this is not your liveries concern and they won't care about it. You are the YO and you set the price, which they are paying.

I think they had it easy from the start, you did too much for them so it became standard.
You run the yard and collect the hay so they might feel its not their job to get some out, or even feel theyd like to help dont want to butt in!

Yes they will feel a bit miffed now things have changed, but they will get over it.

Or compromise, still oder in the hay etc, but make them aware they have to take tyrns.
feed deiveries the same, you all take in turns to take delivery or it.
