Just spotted this on Facebook and it's broken me a little bit, so want to try and get the word out as much as I can to give poor Doris a chance of finding her forever home this Christmas.

I just saw that on FB, how incredibly sad. It is so hard at any time for rescues to find a home for dogs that have to live with no other animals and not be left, let alone an oldie at Christmas.

Ah this girl - I've seen her on FB - it is so hard when the rescues insist that they must be an only dog, and I know from experience that it isn't always the case I hope she finds someone!

What a shame, poor girl. I could have persuaded my dad I think, but the no children part would scupper it.
