Liverpool, Corley Bio or White Horse pellets?

I've decided to change to wood pellets as my youngster is getting through shavings at an alarming rate & I'm going to be skint before long!

Is there any difference in quality between LWP & Corley Bio Wood? They seem to be about the same price.

Also I saw an advert for White Horse bedding in H&H last week. Has anyone used them? They are more expensive but might be interested if they are better...

How much do you pay for Nature's Best? In what way is it better? I've heard that Corley are reliable...

I did look at Aquamax too but there wasn't much of a cost saving.
 
Corley offer excellent customer service, and their pelletts are slightly different to LWP. We had one bad run with LWP, but then ordered more recently and they were fine and had them at special offer. Still recommend Corley overall though

Yep, as long as it doesnt get really dry its fine. Also use a slighter deeper bed than you think is necessary, as it can smell if the bed gets low so has a higher % of wet bed..... it clumbs together better when there is alot of it! It isnt an amazing bedding, but certainly does the job well and is economical!!
 
interesting post, im looking to change to pellets in 8 weeks. I saw Corely do 100 bales which works out a v cheap price per bale so was going to go to them (split between a few of us that use it)
Have heard LWP can be a little less reliable than Corley.

Pellets that have been kiln dried work better, they are more absorbent and less dusty. With demand for wood pellets going through the roof, some companies that do pellets suitable for burning are also selling them as horse bedding, which they are not suitable for. In this respect Nature's Best go the longest way as horse bedding in my opinion.

Also beware of price comparisons as some brands package in a smaller bag than others, so you need to compare the price per kilo not per bag.

I spend about 200 pounds per six months for three stables, but I have mine on rubber mats and a litter system.
 
I started using wood pellets this winter due to 2 wet/disgusting geldings (one just wanders about all night and is an equine cement mixer, the other just does droppings where ever and then stands/lies in it and is generally a disgrace!).

It has been a good move. I am using less bedding and they are dry and don’t smell.

Three of us grouped together and got pellets from LWP. They under cut the price I could get anywhere else, and we had both orders when they said we would.

Brilliant customer service.
 
Well I've gone for it! Was going to order from Corley but they haven't answered their phone all afternoon so ordered online for LWP. Lets hope they deliver OK. Was £214 for 1 tonne which I'm hoping will last all winter

I just couldn't afford to go on at £7 a bale for softchip & 4 bales a week between 2 of them!!

I ordered from LWP and got them within the hour! Couldn't complain at the service, and I'm finding the beds easy to manage - even with a horribly messy mare and yearling churning it up...
