Went to order through e-bay and the listing has been removed so went on to their site. It said to phone before ordering as stock is limited and guess what, THEY HAVE SOLD OUT!!! Expecting a delivery next week but this has been allocated to orders already placed.

What am I going to do?

Anyone know of any alternatives I can use in the mean time until new stock arrives? Aquamax etc are over double the price!

Help, Please!

Try Corley biowood. They are out of stock atm but have a reservation list - same price as LWP but nicer people to deal with!

So many people have swapped to them this past few months it's been unreal! I hope they can can get their stocks sorted out soon as people are very happy with their product

Have posted about this in NL - ordered over 2 weeks ago and have been given 3 different days for delivery - today being the last one. I phoned this morning to check and was told that they wouldn't be delivered today as they can't get enough stock and didn't know when I would get my order. I asked for a full refund, was really disappointed as have been running down beds and buying extra shavings for over 2 weeks now. Got a phone call from YO at 3.30pm today to say they had delivered them! Customer service was very poor - so wouldn't use them again.

I placed an order with Corley Bio-woods and it is being delivered tomorrow!!! Think I ordered just in time as they said they had been inundated with calls (guess I know why now!!). Apparently the company who actually make the pellets for LWP has a machine broken, hence the delays.

I use Nature's Best wood pellets I dont know if they are running short as I ordered my winter supply in one go and still got a fair few months left....hoping by then the whole bedding shortage saga will have sorted its self out

This doesn't surprise me, I got 50 bags from LWP & have just ran out, was thinking of getting more but looks like i wont be able to now!!

As Charliesarmy said try Natures Best, there much the same but a wee bit more expensive that LWP.

Have used natures best before and although I am happy with them, they are nearly 3 times the price as LWP ! Been phoning round to see if I can get a couple of bags of aquamax or something to tie me over until they get delivery and OMG! £6.75 per BAG!!!!

Natures Best are from forests grown specifically for the purpose so they won't run out. Although they are more expensive they last far longer than LWP, so work out cheaper overall. Also check out what size bag they are. My last bags of NB cost me £5.06 inc VAT so far cheaper than other bedding alternatives

Unfortunately both Aquamax and Natures Best are imported from Canada. Therefore subject to exchange rate fluctuations of which there have been many at the moment. I have been advised my next lot Aquamax will have 6% price increase due to exchange rate. I'm sure there will be more to follow.

However, I am happy knowing I am using a quality product, I still have reservations about what is going into these cheap wood pellets meant for burning rather than specifically produced for animal bedding, which is why I haven't bought any for the ponies.

I used LWP Pellets as everyone on my yard put together & bought in bulk, we had no choice, we had a shavings shortage & was the only thing available. I found it to be very sand like & very messy?? the only way i can think to describe it, has anyone else found this? and is Aquamax the same?

Hi Im from LWP and I would like to clear somethings up on this post.

1, Any refunds requested have been given, and they were refunded in the same way as they were paid, we have NOT sent any cheques to any customers ever. If the customer paid by paypal they were refunded by paypal or if they paid by card, they were refunded by card. One of the lads in the office did mention that we would send out a cheque, but he just got his facys wrong.

2. We did put a note on the website asking customers to call before ordering when stocks were low, but some customers still ordered anyway.

3. We now have hundreds of tonnes of stock, there is a country wide shortage of pellets.

4 Corley Biofuels were a customer of LWP who went behind our backs and ordered from our supplier, we are now discussing this situation with our supplier.

We care about all our customers, demand has been high, and there wasnt a lot we could do, so we apologise for the late deliveries, but we are now back down to 2-3 days delivery.

Can I also thank the customer who hoped we went bust in the credit crunch, because we couldnt supply her with pellets for her horse, as we had to supply the pellets we had to heat homes and schools.

If anybody wishes to discuss anything with us, please call, we are just normal people going about our business, and taking the ups and downs that go with it.

Yes well said by the guys that run the county a bit of understanding in what we already know is a hard time for suppliers of bedding. Some times delays happen just a fact of life and it is impossible to please all the people all the time..
