Im looking to move my horse to a new livery yard and would appreciate some advice please.
Where I live are literally only a few liveries with either poor hacking or no facilities (6 miles 18 minutes drive). I'm looking at full livery due to working hours. I have viewed a yard 21 miles 30 minutes drive from home that had everything I need with bridleways on the doorstep.
From the yard it's a further 8 miles to work which will take approximately 20 minutes town traffic according to google.
I'm now in 2 minds what to sacrifice. Travel time or hacking which is my main point of riding. Either way it will be full livery and I will go up twice before work and twice on my days off.
Any advice is welcome. Thank you.

Happy horse and happy owner makes for a less stressful life. Surely it is better to enjoy the riding and get what you want even if it is a bit further away. I've just moved mine to get better hacking and I'm having a fab time, my horse and I are both enjoying our time together much more so personally I would drive the extra distance. If you can find the time to do it then you can make it work and you might have been spending the extra driving time doing chores which you will no longer have to do!

Good point! :-)
When I look at the difference in miles it is a lot but when I look at the actual driving time it's 10 minutes more due to the roads being better. I also thought to save a little on fuel to only go 4 days a week. My Friend is at this yard and she would keep an eye on my mare so I don't have to go every day.
