Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could help me on the hunt for a DIY possibly part livery yard in Bedfordshire.

I am currently at a lovely yard but with the nights getting longer and no sand school without a short hack away I am struggling.

Angels brain needs more work then I can give her where I am and is currently turning into a hyperactive 4 yr old!

So just wondering if ANYONE knows of a decent livery yard in the Beds area. I live about 20 mins from Keysoe EC, so near to there would be fab. But open to options!

It seems near impossible to find a nice livery yard around here.

Do they have any vacancies actually at Keysoe? Might be worth an ask.

20 mins from Keysoe covers quite an area - can you be more specific. I know there are a couple of places in Wilstead that have schools but that might be the wrong side of Bedford.
Or there is Backnoe End in Thurleigh.
Have you thought of putting up a wanted ad in Top End Store (Little Staughton) or Sharnbrook Animal Feeds (Sharnbrook)

Sorry yes should have been clearer! I am Sharnbrook side. I work in Sharnbrook, and currently live between 2 houses! My mums - Wollaston (Northants) and my OHs Riseley (10 mins from Keysoe)!

I would put a note up but would hate my YO to see it!

How about Radwell. The old RS there has changed hands & recently re opened. No idea what it's like now.
There's a yard at Bletsoe but they always seem to have a waiting list.
How about putting an ad up with OHs number if you are worried about YO recognising yours!
Middleton's in Riseley have a small school. Don't know if they have vacancies.
But you are right, not many yards with schools.

Thanks Hairycob... Radwell is an idea, don't think I would go to the RS but there is the one by the bridge you have reminded me off I should look at!

I am at a yard in Bletsoe now, wouldn't mind being at the one in Bletsoe as I am friends with the YO but she only takes geldings!

Think I will put a note up... good idea about OHs number! Although he is totally NON HORSEY so could be funny!

Middleton's? is thats the one on the way out of the village?

I had the geldings only thing when I was looking too.
Middletons is up the track almost opposite the school. Big advantage is you are out the gate straight on to good bridleways - can have choice of decent circular hacks with 200 yds or less road work in the middle. Know a couple of people there & they seem happy.

There is a space at the yard im at. Great facilities with flood lit sand school.

We are in Kempston? Its about 5-10 mins from the A6 and it takes 15 odd mins to get to Sharnbrook from the yard.
