Just need a bit of advice we had a letter in our bill received on 25th June stating the livery was being increased by £5 per week, the bill with the letter was for May. We then receive our bills for June and the increase is already on there, I have queried it with the accounts lady as to why the increase is backdated and have so far not received a response some of us have just deducted it from our bills. We have just received the bill for July and the amount not paid has not been bought forward but one of the liveries has been questioned as to why she hasn’t paid it but the others who haven’t paid it have not. It’s all very confusing I don’t think they can back date it unless they have given us notice of that. Thoughts?

It depends on how much you like the livery yard and whether £20 is worth potential ill will. You appear to be on a yard that allows you to pay a month in arrears which is pretty rare, most expect a month in advance.
Yes in theory you can argue about but me personally if I was happy there I’d pay it

The bills are always late and yes I do like the yard it's just the principle that has rattled a few people on the yard. It's not business like it's a large yard and I think they should be on top of things like this to avoid confusion and bad feeling. He had always given us notice before but not this time

I don’t disagree. It leaves a slightly sour taste in the mouth. Nevertheless, sometimes you just have to swallow it.
