LIVERY DEBTS

Hi all newbie here, there was somthing i needed to know!
Why do people that who get into debt at livery yards always s**t and slag off the yards that help them???

Because that is so much easier than accepting responsibility for their situation?

Actually I don't think they all do, there may well be plenty of people there who have come to some sort of arrangements with their YOs to resolve overdue payments but you would never hear about it.

It's always the ones that make a scene about it you get wind of - years ago I buried my head in the sand a bit during tough times but my Yard owner was great - They cahrged me interest on what I owed but that made sure I paid it back quicker ! They are not a bank after all - so many people kick up a stink when its themselves that are at fault

Ha ha - I know what you are talking about. We had one livery who was asked to leave for non-payment of livery. She went to another yard and repeated the behaviour, except this time YO got wise to her and locked her saddle in the office until she paid up. Silly girl called the police to say her saddle had been stolen by YO. When police turned up, an altercation ensued which led to livery being marched off the property, horse in tow.
