Livery Exmouth to Dartmoor

Hope someone can help. My OH is being transferred to near Exmouth in Devon, and of course I can't possibly consider where to live until I find a nice yard for my girlie - so any advice is welcome!!

Must haves are - DIY with provision to assist for holiday periods etc, school (outdoor preferred), access to offroad hacking for a bit of a canter. Doesn't have to be "state of the art" but must be clean and tidy, decent storage, somewhere to put my trailer, and most of all a friendly atmosphere.

Also we have just started to get involved with "Trec" so YO must not have an issue with me putting Trec obstacles in the school and playing with them.

Am looking as far as Okehampton to the west and Sidmouth to the east, and Cullompton to the north.

Hope someone can help:)
 
Blimey that's quite an area away from Exmouth! Have u driven it? I like my yard to be as close as possible lol, know a few in exeter if u are looking that way at all

totally agree, It is going to be a long comute to work from Okehampton (or to do your horse)
Don't forget to take into account that many roads in Devon are not fast. They get clogged with comuter traffic and clogged (often at the same time) with the tourists.
 
Ha ha yes I am familiar with Devon's roads, currently live a bit further north in Devon. Ideally would be within 20 miles of Exmouth but I know how hard it is to find a nice yard - currently make a 30 mile round trip twice a day to a far less than ideal yard:(
