Following on from Purbee's suggestion and the drama described in post 32 of my other thread: https://forums.horseandhound.co.uk/threads/welcome-hermosa.802352/page-2#post-14562368

My 27-year old mare can't move yards for lots of reasons, so in a perfect world I could find a place near Milngavie/Bearsden suitable for the youngster. She needs turnout with a small, sensible herd. I would be after assisted/grass livery, as I can't really be at the yard twice per day, and there will be weekends where I'm out of town once we can travel again. Anyone got anything?

This may be a stupidly obvious suggestion, but just in case it's not - does the estate further along the road for Easterton still rent out grazing (it was Lord Archie's place when I rented). I had 2 horses but there were 6 in the field altogether and I did most of the looking after of all of them, which wasn't an problem for various reasons. Anyway, if the grazing is still rented in a similar way you might find some people who could accommodate you. It's basic grass livery, nothing more, but would suit a young horse and not too far from your other one.

That would be Duntreath Estate.

OP I would take a drive out towards Strathblane and see what there is that way, I know there's Milndavie and I'm sure there's others out that way too.

Pop it on the livery pages on facebook. I used to know that neck of the woods but not as up to date. A friend used to rent in Duntreth, i think there may be a livery yard across from where she was but I couldn’t tell you the name of it.

I’ve just caught up on your other thread. What a shame. I can’t say I’m surprised though at the lack of support and running of the yard but I’ll keep my thoughts to myself on that one. Let us know how you get on.
