I'm considering migrating to Knighton from Hereford. Fantastic outriding but I can't find any DIY livery / horse grazing advertised and wonder if there is a dearth in the area or if there is ample but it all goes by word of mouth? Any info/advice appreciated!

Kath at Underhill doesn't do DIY but may know of a yard or grazing so would be worth a chat with her. Kirsty Davies - https://www.kirsty-davis-equine.co.uk/ has previously done livery, not sure if DIY though. Erin Rheanne Hornsey would also be worth contacting, maybe find her on facebook.

I would put a post up on Knighton (Powys) Open Forum on facebook, you'll get lots of people tag useful contacts in that.

Thanks you both, good tips to follow up, looks like I've got to get with the century. I have a Facebook account but only use it for adverts and people keep thinking I'm a scammer. Sigh! looks like I will have to learn how to put piccies on it.

Thank you, everyone, for the help. I could not get the livery, house, and work in knighton so am looking yet further afield

Yep its a pretty awful area for livery to be honest!! You'd think with it being so rural it would be easy...but most people with horses in this area keep at home as they have land...if you want livery its soooo difficult! Worst part of the country I've lived in for yards (and I used to live in urban areas!)

When we moved to this area and talked to local people it was pretty obvious that farmers only had family horses and ponies on their land and it was mostly under sufferance too!
