I'm thinking of putting one of my horses on livery for the Summer but have no idea what I should expect to pay so was wondering if you could give me a bit of guidance.

Option 1 - DIY livery, use of stable and turnout. Use of out door school. Quiet lanes for hacking but otherwise fairly pants hacking.

Option 2 - As above but with some assistance. Fed, turned out and brought in daily with the others on the yard. Mucked out by yard twice a week.

In the North Hereford area.

Not found a yard that offers this yet but will do a bit of searching at the weekend if I think it's financially viable.

i have paid £20-35 a week for stable/grazing/school and hacking

the most i paid was the 35 a week for a nice school but crap hacking (no hay etc included)! and really bad winter grazing....which really got to me - which was last year/2011/

i had paid £45 a week for stable/grazing/amazing hacking - miles off road/2 outdoors - tiny dusty indoor/show jump field - included all hay and beddding......... :)

for mucking out twice a week add £6-10 a day on :)

I don't know the prices in your area, but in my area it would be about 100-150 pm for 1 and probably around 300 pm for 2 (for 400-500 pm you get part livery or part livery without week-end).

Seems to depend on area and quality of yard/service but round here it could be c.£130 per month for your option 1 and some quality places as much as £160.

For bits of help I guess it will also vary - £1.50 for simple bring in, up to £5-7 a day for bring in/turnout, feed, muck out, hay and water.
