Livery In Barnstaple?

Hi all,

A friend is moving to barnstaple due to her husband being posted there in the marines, and she is looking for livery for her horse.

Any suggestions would be fabulous :)
 
Firstly Chivenor has it's own saddle club which offers livery and is literally on the edge of camp. It wasn't an option for me in the end (was full when I moved up) as my OH is also posted at Chivenor.

I can make some recommendations but they further afield, for example yard I'm on is 20-25mins from Barnstaple but due to where I work is ideal.

What facilities is she looking for DIY/full/school/hacking etc and how far radius from camp. Also when is she moving? I'm guessing relatively soon knowing the army?
 
Hi thanks for the reply, she is willing to travel up to half an hour for the right yard.
Not looking for amazing facilities, he is a very good doer so can live out all year. School would be nice but not necessity, but good hacking is quite important for her. DIY livery, although she does have a little boy so possibly part/help from time to time.
She is moving in november so has just a few weeks to sort everything :) dont envy her :)
 
I would def recommend her looking moorwards then, its under 20 mins to exmoor and automatically fab hacking pretty much ;)

Will ask YO tomorrow if she knows of anyone with spaces at the moment. If on the moor you will struggle to find anywhere that offers all year round 24/7 turnout purely due to extremes you get weather wise!
