Livery in Basingstoke

Hi,

I really hope I'm not tempting fate here but i've applied for a new job and its down to just me and one other applicant. The job is in Basingstoke itself and i was wondering if anyone knew what livery is available in the surrounding area and an idea of how much they cost. I'm trying to get a picture of how much it would cost to live there.

I used to live in Basingstoke and found the livery options really rather limited very close to Basingstoke. It really depends on what facilities you want and what sort of budget you have.

Feel free to PM me and I am happy to give you some background on the local yards.

For proper part livery (i.e. 7 day care) you are looking at £100 a week approx
I know a nice small friendly DIY yard very close to Basingstoke that offers assistance which would be worth a look.
 
I live in Andover - around 15mins from basingstoke, there are plenty of livery options around the local villages so it might be worth looking a little further afield
 
Andover is more than 15 mins from central Basingstoke!
But yes you are right, there are options further afield (Winchester, Medstead, Hook, Kingsclere, south Reading)
 
There are some nice yards in the Silchester/Mortimer area which is close to Basingstoke. It depends on what type of yard you are looking for. Some are DIY and some do Part/full. I know of a yard that charges £20 pw DIY and would say that is the cheapest you would find (most charge about £30 (unless you wanted just a field).

There are a few people I know that live in basingstoke and travel to my yard pm me if you want more details. I live about 20 mins from basingstoke but the yards I know of are about 10 mins upwards.

Most of the yards round here are not cheap I pay £200 a month diy. Last yard I worked at so was cheaper but still paid around £180 month and know that they only take full which is about that for a week?!
There is also a few more if you dont mind travelling about 20mins that are a bit cheaper.
