I am possibly going to be moving to berkshire (bracknell/reading area) and wondered if anybody knows where i can get grass livery (and stable). I currently live in yorkshire where i rent a field and stable for just £10 per week!! (i know its never gonna be that cheap down in berkshire). I just hack and do a bit of schooling so dont NEED any other facilities, just running water (electric if poss!) and a stable, with somewhere to store hay and straw. I just need somewhere that isn't too expensive (my friend worked on a yard in berks and owners paid from £750 a month for livery, I wouldn't survive if i had to pay that for my horse!) Move isn't gonna be for a while yet but i need to know i can take my horse with me!! If anyone has any ideas, would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Hi there

We do diy livery at the yard I am at, they do have to come in every night tho. Price of grass (and it is good quality grazing, all electric fenced and reguarly paddock changed!, good drainage never gets muddy really), £25 a week including your stable. It is definately the cheapest around and the stables are pretty much new. Max of 15 liveries at any time. Nice horses that dont fight, helpful people, we all help each other. YO will do weekdays for you/and/or just turnout etc. Nice new school and just no bitching, its lovely!!

If you need more details let me know.

May have space at my yard but we dont do grass livery. We do assisted, part and full. Assisted £50 a week and includes mon-fri the horses being fed and turned out and brought in in evening. We are a small yard and have floodlit school, good sized fields, hacking etc. Help is available and extras can be done too. We are near Fleet, Hampshire.

Bockmer stables are between Marlow and Henley. They do grass livery - they check the horses every day if you can't get there and in winter they hay all the grass liveries in the fields for you. I think it was something like £16 per week for grass livery when we were there (we were stabled though) about 4 years ago. It's got loads of lovely people (or did have anyways) and has 3 arenas, jumping paddock and a lunge pen. You'll find their number in Yellow Pages or maybe try the local papers.

bockmer is good - the staff are brill
as said above, it has 3 outdoor, 1 indoor and a lunge circle.

i think grass livery has gone up to about £22 a week but the service is brill and there are covered stalls for tacking up/feeding etc.

there are a few around wokingham and crowthorne try doing a search online - 2 many to list !! dont think mine has space and would not get stable anyway - brill hacking though !!
